TEAM PHILOSOPHY
Established in 1989 in Poland, Maine, the Panther Track Club is an independent non-profit program associated with the Maine USA Track & Field Association. We are the most prominent summer track & field team in Maine, consisting of young athletes ages 5 to 15 from Poland and many surrounding Maine towns. The Panther Track Club aspires to provide young athletes the opportunity to participate in a healthy activity that encourages them to develop self-esteem and learn the value of being part of a team while at the same time increasing their athletic abilities. Our motto is “I WILL TRY!” Panthers must dedicate themselves to training at practices and performing their best at meets. The focus of the Panther Track Club is to support the progress of each athlete’s personal best performance. Respect for parents, coaches, teammates, or alike is required; inappropriate behavior is unacceptable. Track & Field is a sport that requires not one coach but several. It takes a dedicated group of individuals to run a successful track team. We encourage ALL parents to get involved in the coaching and training of their athletes.
